What ships here

New York, in freight terms.

New York is really two markets separated by four hours of driving. Upstate — Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, Albany — runs on the I-90 Thruway and is manufacturing, dairy and cross-border freight into Ontario and Quebec. We reach Buffalo economically on scheduled contract carriers and it behaves much like the Ohio market in specification terms.

Downstate is a different problem. New York City and Long Island have the highest pallet consumption density in the country and some of the hardest logistics: restricted delivery windows, no yard space, bridge and tunnel routing, and receiving docks that cannot take a full trailer. Local suppliers who understand that geography will beat us on service, and we say so.

Cross-border movements into Canada from the Buffalo and Champlain crossings bring ISPM-15 considerations that catch people out, particularly where a compliant pallet has been repaired with untreated lumber somewhere upstream.

Local economy

Food distribution at enormous scale in the downstate metro, plus manufacturing, dairy processing and cross-border freight upstate.

What we send there
